Bi-Polar economy on stress
Why You Need to Motivate Yourself for Better or for Worse.
—————————————————————————————
If you want something done that is very dear to your heart, it is usually better you do it yourself or get the most competent people you can afford, to help you.
All Americans, the “Global Economy”,and the President Elect got dumped smack dab in the middle of a “do it yourself” economic survival game with no manual, nor guide.
This too will become History. Is it going to be a lifestyle ? or need I say a revolutionary one at that?..yep and the clock is ticking.
From “Real Estate Price Hackers” who made Home Depot a fortune, to the “I have unyielding faith in my Political Party through Puma tantrums to the so called “change” that is unfolding right in front of our very eyes on a daily basis, we need to bear in mind that this madness is not ever going to stop. David Axelrod does not claim to be an all mighty intellectual but he seems to be telling these so called Washington Transition Execs on both sides intellectuals what, why, when and to do things.
Just as willpower is an essential factor in achieving success, at some point in life, confusion and lack of focus may hinder you from reaching the objective. And it is up to you, and you alone to devise techniques that will help you keep that drive within grasp.
But how about getting to the Goal and realizing that it was a false distorted and a twisted goal after all? That could be really stressful.
Society teaches us to visualize, feel the dream, discuss it and meditate on these visions often. So that when we feel discouraged, this will remind us of the glory and the spotlight that comes with the price.
Make a contract with yourself. According to motivational researches, people who write down to-do-lists are far more triumphant in achieving their intended goals than those people who just keep mental lists instead.
Putting something in writing somehow makes it more powerful psychologically speaking. This may also be the basis why most cultures have such a high regard in sticking to contracts. In the contract, you may also include a certain reward that you will give yourself once you have accomplished the task.
Ignore abusive people who don’t care about your self-esteem. Get these negative people out of your life. Surround yourself with positive people or people who are ready to go that extra mile to try and understand.Google.com
Watch inspirational movies and theater. These will help you improve your attitude and heal your mind. A book of success stories also proves to be encouraging. You will not only learn from others’ experiences and derive confidence boosting insights from them but the story will be instrumental in motivating you to go for your goal and move ahead with your plans. If this still seems to falter, get training or education.
Oftentimes, not knowing how or where to start is frustrating. Knowledge is power. Having a clear understanding of how and where to start is empowering and it will provide the extra drive needed to hit the mark you are aiming at and follow it through.
Having enumerated all these tips and tricks to attain self-motivation, but still you seem to feel lacking that much needed drive, there is one last thing that you must try.
Society has always taught us to break down the apparently unattainable activity to small doable steps. Not only does it become less overwhelming, but seeing the “in the meantime” results will further your confidence that it can indeed be done.
Lack of motivation happens to us all, so learn how to listen to your inner self and be able to be sincere when something is not right. We all hate war but there was something not right about Sadaam Hussein for example. You need to be closer to your inner instincts and the opportunities and challenges it throws at you and learn to stick with it even when most people don’t see it that way.
Life is not about winning a popularity contest, but building character and developing integrity.
And if in the long run you were not very sure why you did it all anyway, just be able to say to your self ” I did it my way.”
